County Sligo on Ireland’s Atlantic northwest coast is teeming with photographic possibilities. Megalithic dolmens, dramatic seascapes and the iconic slopes of Belbulben and Knocknarea are part of the sweeping and mysterious landscape that bears witness to convulsions of the earth’s surface millennia ago. It is a place of ancient legends and stark beauty that to this day inspires poets, writers, musicians and artists of all kinds.
In August 2012, a 7-day workshop for serious amateurs and anyone with a passion for making unique and powerful images takes place, based in Raghley, Co. Sligo. The workshop locations will be limited to Sligo and the nearby counties of Donegal and Mayo to maximise shooting possibilities in this less well-traveled part of Ireland. The group will be limited to 8 to ensure attentiveness to each individual’s photographic needs.
